Cynthia M. Green believes "Singing for the Lord" exemplifies her life. She is the third of five children born to Rev. and Mrs. J. R. Williamson of Kansas City, Missouri.


Born and raised in Kansas City, Cynthia started singing as a little girl with her siblings, known as the Williamson Singers. She always had a passion for singing, with a special love for gospel music.


Cynthia graduated from Southeast High School in 1976. From there, she joined Honeywell FM&T, where she have been employed for over 28 years as a production fabricator. During her employment, she has performed at many company functions. She was also one of the lead singers for The Dorothy Pettus Singers, traveling and singing some of gospel’s greatest songs.


Cynthia has been happily married to Roosevelt Donnell Green Jr. for over 25 years. She has two wonderful children Tameka and Dale. She is family oriented and her family is her number one supporters in all her endeavors.


Because of her love for music, Cynthia enjoys entering singing competitions. She competed and won first place in the world''s largest singing contest, representing the state of Kansas, where she proceeded on to the National Singing Championship in Nashville, Tennessee sponsored by Dick Clark of American Bandstand. "To God Be The Glory" this was one of Cynthia''s greatest moments. She also performed in Gospel Showcase 99 and placed second and landed a spot singing and acting in two gospel musical plays. In 2004 she performed and won first-place and third place in 2005 in Isle Make Me A Star of Kansas City. Also, in 2005 Branson Spotlight Singing competition she placed second. Cynthia''s latest debut was singing for Tyler Perry, Bobby Jones, Shirley Caesar and others during her ten minutes of fame on the Tom Joyner Fantastic Voyage and Tom Joyner Family Reunion. Such great experiences these were.


Cynthia has been inspired by some of the world''s greatest singers such as Aretha Franklin, Shirley Caesars, LaShun Pace, Dottie Peoples, Evelyn Turrentine Agee, just to name a few. She sings unto the Lord a new song in two choirs at the Rising Star Baptist Church in Kansas City, Kansas where her father is the pastor. Listening to her can truly be a blessing and an inspirational experience.
