Wow! This is the second of four previously unreleased U.S. Mods creations that show the band''s progression towards a tight musical entity. “Natural Thing” was inspired by the sounds of artists like the “Ziggy Stardust…” David Bowie album and the Kinks. Songwriter Tom Henninger describes it as follows, "We wanted something straight forward and focused sounding. Really we were going back to the less complicated, pure energy of the first Mods album, “From the Free World”. The lyric is also relatively clear and concise compared to earlier Mods lyrics....the simple image of a totally hot girl going out in the city." Who can argue with that?
