Details:
Chris F. Billiot Sr. was born in New Orleans, Louisiana at Mercy Hospital on November 10, 1963.

At a very young age, the shy Christopher would often perform for his older siblings and their friends by, impersonating the likes of: Tom Jones, Chuck Berry and Van Morrison.

Chris loved music and had ideas of learning to play the drums. however, because Chris was poor, that idea was not realized. When he was of age to join his middle school''s band, Chris was forced to play the saxophone. This was the instrument being played by his older brother. The two had to share the instrument, thus easing the financial burden of his mother having to purchase a drum kit. This twist of fate soon proved to be a blessing in disguise, as Chris quickly discovered a connection, a knack, and a passion for the instrument.

At the early age of nine, as a saxophonist, Chris and two friends began earning money in "The Boogie Bunch" Dixieland Jazz Ensemble, which the three had formed. the band, managed and guided by, the late "Charles Edward Wolfe Jr", existed for several years in the seventies, and was the springboard for Billiot''s ultimate love for creating music.

Chris continued to play the saxophone professionally throughout his high school years. After high school, Chris enlisted in the United States Navy, in 1981, and served more than four years. Chris was honorably discharged from the United Stated Navy in 1985. It was during these years that Chris believed he was reaching only a small percentage of music lovers as a saxophone player. Chris believed that very few people could understand the language of the unspoken lyrics of a beautiful instrument, a saxophone. Chris then began to write poetic words to the tunes he had composed. These words soon became lyrics and then he yearned to play an instrument such as a piano or guitar to compile the two.

In 1982, Chris met a friend, Christopher Paul Cutler, who taught him basic chord arrangements and bass notes on a six-string guitar. The two became best friends and traveled around the globe together. Much of Billiot''s inspiration came from his surroundings in his new home city in Southern California and the many countries he visited during his stint in the military. Billiot later purchased an acoustic guitar of his own and began word-smiting as soon as he could master chords.

Billiot continued playing the saxophone in bands around the country and enjoyed every moment of this vast learning experience. Billiot returned to New Orleans in 1985, where he joined an oldies band, where he began to play rhythm guitar. Billiot, in and out of several similar bands, finally met drummer Ryan Faust, who like Billiot, had a passion to create a new sound of original tunes that could appeal to vast combinations of audiences. Billiot and Ryan worked together with many musicians in their attempts to bring some of these tunes to the stage, but they were often stopped short of forming the, "All Original" group they had envisioned.

In the year of 2001, Billiot met Darren Brazley and became friends. One day Brazley asked Billiot to assist him in moving his recording studio from one location to another. Once the studio was in operation mode, Billiot, who forgetting his ideas of playing original music, asked Brazley if he could record some songs at his recording studio. Brazley readily agreed and the two worked for a few hours a day, where Brazley produced and recording two of Billiot''s original songs. Brazley asked Billiot if he had other songs that needed to be produced and recorded, Billiot said yes. Brazley then asked Billiot if he would like to produce a solo cd project under his company''s label, DIB-DAB Productions/Records and Studio 24, Billiot, who could not believe the offer, agreed. Billiot''s dream was once again a reality.

In the beginning of 2002, Billiot attended a band performance of "Kan-Dee-Side", where he heard the lead guitarist, Gary Marchese. Billiot, who admired Marchese''s strong lead guitar and solo ability, asked him if he would be willing to work on a cd project under DIB-DAB Productions/Records, at recording Studio 24. Marchese eagerly accepted the offer and the project was now complete.

The style of the music recorded is considered to be, alternative little rock with subtle degree''s of variation.

Today Chris has been working with long time friend and Bassist Jude Varuso to establish a new sound and improve upon the old tunes by varying compositions to suit their mood. Often playing for benefits, such as Share The Moon, and St. Jude''s Community Center In New Orleans.

Chris is also learning from his student Christopher Billiot, II who has now become the master lyricist, and guitarist of the family.
