SONG TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS:

No More Blues
This, the title cut, was selected because it gives us the opportunity to feature Cami''s unique ability to imitate percussion sounds vocally (i.e. Bobby McFerrin) and scat like nobody''s business.

One Touch of Heaven
This soulful torchy love song, written by Cami, features the wonderful vocal range and emotional power of Cami''s voice, and shows off her extraordinary gift for writing and arranging. Featuring Brandon Fields in a skin-tingling sax performance.

I Just Want To Be Loved By You
In this beautiful ballad also written by Cami, she is accompanied only by Benjamin Dowling on the piano.
Destined to be a classic, this is one of her most requested tunes on radio.

Rhythm In My Nursery Rhyme
With a rousing gospel-styled introduction, Cami explodes into a swinging, toe-tapping romp through some favorite nursery rhymes. Don''t try to keep up with her unless you''re wearing your running shoes.

Sneaky Suspicion
In a short side-step from jazz, this tune is a rockin'' duet with Cami''s incredible pianist (one of the song''s writers) Ben Dowling. It''s more of a duel than a duet, filled with slugs and kisses.

I Like The Way You Do Your Thing
Breaking a promise to her mother that she would never sing this song in public, Cami brings to the album her original "blue" blues tune -- this was recorded live at Caffe Giuseppe in Northridge. Exciting, twisting improvisations, scat, and a last minute "sit-in" sax solo by the incredible Robert Kyle make this tune one of the most excitng on the album.
... And Cami''s mom finally forgave her for performing it...

Autumn Leaves
A timeless piece of music brought up to date by Cami''s swinging off-the-beat arrangement. Her wonderful improvised lyrics and scat solo are followed by Larry Steen''s improv on upright bass and a solo by
Ben Dowling on piano that shouldn''t be missed.

Twogether
Cami wrote this song in 1982 as a simple samba for her best friend''s wedding. 10 years later she revisited it and rearranged it for this project in an entireley different genre, featuring her multi-layered vocals in the background, and the soprano sax of Brandon Fields dancing around Cami''s vocals... or does she dance around him?

There Will Never Be Another You
Cami arranged this jazz standard in a Latin direction with extended chord subs, and adds a scat solo that is one of her sweetest. Add another bass solo by Larry Steen and enjoy this wonderful multi-rhythm groovin'' jazz classic.

Skylark
This classic Hoagy Carmichael ballad is given an almost dream-like treatment in Cami''s arrangement. Benjamin''s soft strings fill in the perfect piano accompaniment to Cami''s mournful plea for Mother Nature''s intervention. Add a rainy evening, a fireplace and dreams of a long-lost love for the perfect backdrop for this elegant tune.

Broken Down Kitchen Blues
Cami''s most-requested original, she shows her sense of humor when she writes "I need a kitchen mechanic to help me warm up my stove, it''s been cold down there so long, I think my dough is froze". In the bawdy style of Bessie Smith and Lil Johnson, this is made to sound like it was recorded during the 30''s in a smoke-filled honky tonk.

Way Over Yonder
Cami has taken Carole King''s spiritual "Way Over Yonder" and layered it gospel-style with up to sixteen tracks of her powerful vocal harmonies, a rousing lead vocal track, and a hair-raising sax solo by Brandon Fields that is guaranteed to give you goosebumps. What a heavenly way to leave the listener!
