Details:
Based in Osaka Japan, TTJ boasts a lineup of two supreme Japanese guitar players that play 7-string guitars and a 6-string bass. Add one slammin’ American drummer and a stereotypical Irish singer into the mix, and you''ve got “total chaos that makes your butt move!” The band''s various musical backgrounds and culture create a unique blend of rock that some in the media have described as "...fresh but nostalgic.","...a thumping pacemaker in your chest!" and "They kick their own asses!"

Since forming in the year 2000, TTJ has marked several accomplishments. Armed with only low-budget demo material, the band members were featured guests on FM radio stations such as FM Osaka, FM CoCoLo, Kiss FM, and FM Wai Wai. Such radio airplay helped land three of their tracks on a movie soundtrack called "Maido" which was released at the end of 2002.

In 2004, the band clinched their first record deal on ONKYO''s label, Premium Stones, which triggered more media attention. In addition to almost daily FM radio airplay, the band was featured as guests several times on Japan Music TV and NHK. TTJ hit a peak in 2005 and followed that up by booking as many shows as possible from Fukuoka to Tokyo.

In spite of the effort, however, TTJ was a bit disappointed with their progress. As a result, they parted ways with Onkyo to create a musical direction that would be more true to themselves. It was an uphill battle to be sure, taking more than five years to complete their next album. “Supersonic Stare”, however, is the comeback that many have been waiting for. Besides stronger song-writing and a good production, the band has captured its signature sound and become exactly what they always wanted to be. In their eyes, that’s all the success they ever wanted. “It’s not about trying to be rock stars.” says drummer, Gordy. “It’s about doing what we love to do, and that’s simply playing together.”

You can see TTJ playing in venues of all sizes between Tokyo and Sydney. You’ll see them at the Hard Rock Cafe, outdoor festivals and fairs, and even smoky bars. Seeing them in any one of these venues however, will give listeners a different experience every time. Perhaps that''s one reason why "they kick their own asses!"
