Details:
Three Ring Circle’s second release, Brothership, is “a kaleidoscopic delight full of fire and virtuosity” from legendary Nashville musicians Rob Ickes (12-time IBMA Dobro Player of the Year), Andy Leftwich (Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder) and Dave Pomeroy (long-time Nashville session ace).

Their self titled debut album was nominated for an IBMA "Instrumental Album of the Year" award in 2007 and received strong reviews in Downbeat, Guitar Player and Frets magazines.

With their second album, the acclaimed instrumental trio blends together many diverse influences into their signature sound marked by “tone, taste, and absolutely unbelievable chops.”

Of special interest to Bluegrass audiences: the blistering bluegrass breakdowns “Just A Rumor” and “Up and At It,” and a gorgeous cover of Tom Petty’s “Wildflower” with guest vocalist Jon Randall Stewart on vocals.

The album also features classically influenced cuts "A Night In Calgary" and "Anthem,” improvisational excursions like "A Go Go", and the funky original, “Brothership.”

"The TRC boys are back, doing what they do best: raising the bar to dizzying heights in their bluegrass-meets-rock-meets-jazz world. They do it with tone, taste, and absolutely unbelievable chops. Andy Leftwich''s mandolin playing is flawless, Dave Pomeroy''s bass is warm and round, and Rob Ickes is Rob Ickes-a first-ballot Dobro hall of famer. "Just a Rumor" is a highlight, with its spot-on rhythm and jaw-dropping solos."
-Matt Blackett, Guitar Player Magazine

[Three Ring Circle has] had a good amount of time to drill down into a sound and style all their own. . . . Early releases "Just A Rumor" and "Wildflowers" - yep, the Tom Petty song, perfectly delivered here by guest Jon Randall Stewart - show off all of the group''s strengths, but the entire album is a kaleidoscopic delight, so full of fire and virtuosity that it''s hard to believe there''s just three guys doing all the work. - Jon Weisberger, Nashville Scene
