Kanya''s Biography
Kanya was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a young women she directed her talents in the areas of Modeling, Singing and Song Writing. With her versatility and skills she connected herself and work with others in these industries.
In 1994 she was presented for work to Oil of Olay and Pantene. This was around the same time she studied modeling with the Barbizon Modeling Agency.
Being influenced by legends in the music industry such as Micheal Jackson, Diana Ross, Helen Baylor, Whitney Houston and so many others Kanya finds motivation in singing and hit''s the road and performs live with another great legend, Little Richard. She later moves forward and records and releases a single “Can''t Make You Love Me” with writer and producer Reggie Washington.
In 1997 Kanya begins to write music. She co-writes and releases another single titled “Baby Love” with S. Roberts for Narada Micheal Walden''s Tarpen Records. One year later in 1998, she composes yet another single called“Summertime” for ARC Records.
Her Talent for singing and writing expands to the Television Networks. In 2002 she lands a publishing deal thru Heavy Hitters Music Publishing. Kanya records songs for CBS and ABC for their day time soaps “The Young and The Restless” and “All My Children”. This also moves her in the working direction of lead singer Micheal Jeffries of Tower of Power and more currently, her brother, Andre'' Hill of Hot Tracxxx and Micheal Campbell of Brooklyn West Records.
Kanya is working in the Music World and continuing her journey for stardom. Currently working with a knowledgeable cast of production companies and music producers she will soon be a force to reckon with.
