Details:
From early on, Nate Laughlin always loved music. His mother used to call him “Luciano” as a child because he used to go around his house singing in an operatic voice to various songs she would have playing throughout the house. No doubt this musical exertion landed him many lead roles in various school plays. As a youngster Laughlin''s love for music was cultivated from his parents and their personal influences. Laughlin''s mother played piano at church and his father, a local lawyer in town, lead worship week after week at their church in northwest Oklahoma. Laughlin recalls always having music playing at home and consequently was influenced by many Christian artists such as Rich Mullins, Keith Green, Sandi Patty, Dallas Holm, Twila Paris, Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, DC Talk, Jars of Clay and Caedmon''s Call as well as many secular artists - the likes of Neil Diamond, Anne Murray and the Eagles just to name a few.

Laughlin started playing guitar at the age of 15. A few years later in high school, Laughlin would invited a childhood friend and a recent high school friend to form a band - Laus Deo. The band was short-lived and Laughlin would go on to lead worship for various churches, events and organizations. It was not until about 7 years into the "picking and grinning" that the songwriting half would finally join the singing half of the equation. The songwriting became the drive behind Laughlin''s love of music. Laughlin spent two years at Hillsong International Leadership College in Australia from 2003-2005, where his "sound" was really developed due in large part to a close friend and roommate who introduced him to Jazz/Fusion/Funk. While in Australia, Laughlin spent his time honing his songwriting by turning out almost two songs a week.

In 2006, shortly after coming back to America from Australia, Laughlin moved to Tennessee to attend Middle Tennessee State University and study Recording Industry Management: Music Business. After only one year in Tennessee, Laughlin moved back to Oklahoma and started playing in various open mic events around Oklahoma City. He has since started to land gigs around town and is pushing to get more recognition through the release of his long awaited EP “Stagecoach Criminal”. Although Laughlin''s sound is diverse and varying, it is all natural and his songs reflect nothing more than pure personal experience, observation and reflection of life and love through a personal relationship with God.
