“MARTY MONTE MAGAZINE''s CD "It Ain''t That Bad" Is That Good and is quite amazing. The CD Rock''s! The Febuary cold spell dissappeared as I started listening. The CD opens with my favorite "Gypsy Eyes". It has a guitar solo that has you glancing around for a fire extinguisher made me think of Jimi Hendrix. "Forgotten Dreams"and "Dolly Dagger" have a SRV feel or maybe Satriani or Bonamassa. "The Bottle Song" has a very cool chorus and piano. "L.A. Lullaby" and "Belvedere Hotel" have a "modern 70''s feel"."30 Day Notification" has traces of Jimmy Buffet while "Sleepless Mind" and "Turnaround Blues" offer alternative rock. "Reefer Blues" is a true story, An ode to Marty''s hometown of Port Arthur. "So Long" showcases the bands instrumental talents. Acoustic tracks complete the CD that was recorded by Andy Bradley at Sugar Hill in Houston. Band is on FB "Marty Monte''s Magazine" and links ReverbNation Page. “In The Raw: Nothing new is our love for live music and it''s in-your- face presence. We got to listen to the premastered tracks to Marty Monte''s Magazine upcoming CD " It Ain''t That Bad " and couldn''t believe what we were listening too. Recorded at Sugarhill Studios, this compilation has every bit of live show gusto and passion with an in-your-living-room clarity, a rare mix in albums these days. Depending on how the mastering turns out, Magazine''s new CD could very well be a contender for album of the year! Stay tuned...”
