''I won''t cry any more'' is a statement of where I have come from, and where I am going. I''ve been in a very dark place for a long time, and knowing there''s a light at the end of the tunnel is not much help, really, if you can''t see it for yourself. I guess that''s where faith comes in. The thing is, you need to rely on others to guide you; people you know and can trust with your life. They can often see things much more clearly than you can, because they''re not in your situation (although they may have been there at one time). Sometimes in life we''re thrown a lifeline, and it''s to our detriment if we don''t swallow our pride or our misconceptions, and realise that we can''t love fully until our own self-esteem and self-worth has been restored.
My intention with this song was simply to give an outlet to the emotions I have been feeling, especially as so many momentous and weighty issues come to a head in my personal life, but it took on a life of its own, and now I want to share it with you, too.
