Steve Tibbets is a musician who writes and performs folk/pop songs with elements of country, garage rock, and blues in the arrangements. His current live performing format is as solo musician singing and playing an acoustic guitar with some harmonica. His aim as a songwriter and arranger is to create concise and catchy songs with relatable lyrics that reflect his dry humor and political opinions. To date, the slogan he has adopted for branding purposes is “Selfish Complaining Disguised as (More or Less) Pretty Songs” and he sometimes wears a shirt with the logo of the 1980s band Winger when performing to create a humorous and memorable trademark (he wears the same shirt at other times because it''s awesome). Steve currently lives in Alexandria, Virginia just outside Washington, D.C., and performs mostly at local venues that support original music raising money to assist worthwhile organizations.
