Still Younger Than That Now features John Niven on guitar, harmonica and vocals. Ann Skippers shares vocal and songwriting duties with John, and also complements the sound with various flutes and penny whistles and an occasional guitar lick. Randie Johnson contributes mainly as a songwriter, but also brings some bass playing skills and a general good vibe! Maygen Navarro belies her youth with a voice of incredible maturity and texture, which the band is delighted to feature on some of their songs.
Still Younger Than That Now cite many musical influences, in particular some of the great singer songwriters and bands from both America and the British Isles. Dylan, Springsteen, and the Beatles compete with the Pogues, Flogging Molly and
Emmylou Harris in their affections, crossing various boundaries from folk, through country, rock and pop.
Wishes and Dreams was written in 2008 by John and Randie. It has been performed at various events throughout Central Florida and the UK, in varying styles. This version is the band''s most polished version, and one that they are very proud of.
