I am Skeet Rowe. I am everything you think I am, and all that you think I am not. I will not lay claim to my own limitations. Neither will I rest in the limitations of the plane you place upon me. I am powerful, bold, limitless, fearless, determined! I AM SKEET ROWE.
I was born February 24, 1981, an only child to my mother in Pensacola Florida. I spent my early childhood years in Bradenton, Florida and during these crucial developmental stages I can honestly say the beginning of an Artist was born. I expressed myself through my writing for the first time in a 4th grade writing contest. After claiming the first place prize, a love of words were sparked and ignited in my soul. That love for words would become the fuel for my writing today. As an only child, I had a lot of time to day dream, think, imagine, and create. I became a
story teller and because of that I stayed in trouble. Smile.
At age10, my family relocated to Atlanta, Ga and it was not long before I considered it my home.
This is a city where art, music, and poetry thrived and each day a star is born. As I approached manhood, trial and tribulations would arise but these things grew the Artist in me. In this new city, I was exposed to a lot of local talents and their music and freedom of expression caught my curiosity. I attribute my inspiration to express myself in a poetic form to several artists: Kilo, 112, Jagged Edge, Outkast, Goodie Mob, Jim Crow, Young Bloodz, just to name a few. Their sound not only broadened my love for words but I could appreciate the infusion of the instrumentals behind the words.
Years later I have strive to be a key player in the arts. My presence on the stage and in movies, an attainable goal. See, I have a love jones for this microphone. This microphone lets me express myself whether I am right or wrong. It embraces my love, passion, sorrow, anger, and fury no matter how strong. So please enjoy the expressions of Skeet Rowe.
