Mr. Get Money was born January 3rd, 1982 in Oakland,
C.A. He was raised in the dubbs of East Oakland by
his father and in Richmond, c.a. by his mother.
M.G.M. has always had a love for music, he was
inspired at a young age by artists'' such as Run DMC,
2livecrew, Slick Rick, Tupac, Notorious B.I.G., Too
Short, and Mac Dre just to name a few.
Choatic has been rapping for the last 10 years.
Influenced by his older brothers and friends he fell
in love with Hip Hop and started flowin’ when he was
about 12 years old. As he grew up he saw his older
brother and friends battling in free style sessions
and breaking out linoleum to break dance.
“I loved the music cause it was talkin’ about life
and reality,” Choatic says of his love affair with Hip
Hop. “It talked about what was going on with
life….people barely getting by but still having a good
time, partying and hanging out.” He ended up
freestylin’ with his brother and found he loved doing
it. He began to realize he was good at it and began
making underground tapes over other people’s beats. “I
would be in the bathroom recording with two tape
recorders. I’d make these bootsy tape recordings and
sell them to others,” he says. “They enjoyed them and
kept asking for more tapes so I decided to turn it
into a career.” The name Chaotic came from his strong
vocal style of rap. When he’s flowin’ “people say it
sounds like a war is going on.” He feels his name
represents the chaos of life and the world.
By the age 14 Chaotic was hustling and grinding in
the streets, doing what was necessary for his
survival. But music was always his 1st love so he
stayed at it no matter what. Chaotic signed a record
deal with Kenny Taylor in 1997 and never heard from
him again. He then signed a 1 year contract with Sea
of Green records in 1998, with owners Joe tha Boss,
Al, Partee and Monk Funk. It wasn''t until 1999 that Chao
joined Che-D-Ness and they became the Aphiliates.
By 2002 the Aphiliates had a few producers who were
ready to invest on their album, they chose to work
with DDosia and recorded heat. Their 1st album, ''This
is the life that we Love'', dropped April of 2004. The
Aphiliates performed at clubs like Mingles, Sweet
Jimmys, Mission Rock, The Octopus lounge and at UC
Davis, and the San Jose Arena. They have opened for
E40, Mac 10, Dubb C, Sea of Green, and Andre Nicatena.
They needed more money behind the operation so
hustling harder and better became ..1 priority. Mr.
Get Money wanted to be the MAN behind his own
operation so he purchased the best of the best studio
equipment, got his business license and opened Corner
Pocket Studios/Get Money Entertainment. It''s a
independent artists'' label looking for distribution
and labels. Upcoming artist and albums include
Che-D-Ness of the Aphiliates, STORM "The Bay''s Queen
Lady", The young and The Restless, Cypher Boys, Mia,
The Aphiliates 2, Proc naz, and more.
Mr. Get Money put his solo album ''''Team Manager''''
together, which has several hot artists featured, such
as mistah F.A.B, Keak da Sneak, 3 of Da Outlawz, and
Clyde Carlson of the Team, just to name a few. He
also got his album mixed, mastered and pressed up
independently. "My goals as a solo artist, is to let
people know about me as a person, and about how my
entire independent project rose from the ground up".
M.G.M''s goals for 2006-07 is to push his solo effort
and create a buzz across the united states and then
would wide. "My project is not just a cali sound it''s
