A Southerner by birth and a Yankee by socialization, Arielle Silver was born and raised on the East Coast with a suitcase packed to move. This summer she is on the move again, touring nationally in support of her latest CD somethingprettysomethingtrue.
Arielle''s 2005 EP On The Dashboard of a Shaky Car garnered kudos from The Boston Globe, ASCAP, and American Songwriter Magazine. She has opened for the legendary band America, and recently won over a former Righteous Babe Records radio rep who trailed the band calling Arielle a precious combination of bluesy soul, intimate writing and powerful stage presence.
Supported by independent label Passion Records, Arielle is writer, producer, and performer on something pretty and on her 2005 EP On the dashboard of a shaky car, which both feature her award-winning clarinet playing along side her beautiful voice, terrific band, and guest players.
Scott Manley is the best drummer in the world. His background is orchestral percussion (yeah, marimba, tympani) but his heart lies in rock n'' roll. His musicality and experimental use of the kit shows his history with colors outside the usual drumset. He has studied at Temple University and Berklee College of Music with Kenwood Denard, Mike Mangini, and Rod Morgenstein.
Jeremy Goatcher is the latest addition to the band-- travelling up from Austin, TX to audition in May, then uprooting his life to join the whirlwind tour of the USA in the veggie-matic veggie van. Word says he''s owned up to 14 basses at one time, but he managed to whittle his collection down to 2 for the tour. We call him Lead Bass, since live Jeremy is solo-maestro, stepping to the front of the stage for a little cowboy yeehaw or jazz bossa. His influences of Motown, Led Zepplin, and Wilco (or Slobberbone, Driveby Truckers...and Wilco), with his jazz immersion at Berklee have spun him into
