MP3 The Unbearables - Get Hit

Fast and happy pop rock for punks who should have been doing it in the early 60s, and others.

11 MP3 Songs
ROCK: 60''s Rock, ROCK: Punk

Details:
Adding the simple melodies of early British Invasion bands to the energy of punk rock and the ironic catchiness of the post-grunge nineties, The Unbearables meld all their influences into a soup that simply rocks. They''re pop, wielding melodies so blatantly major-key that you can''t help but sing along. They''re rock, mixing in the kind of simple, grinding riffs that haven''t been heard since the death of Joey Ramone. They''re punk, with Ian LeClair''s scream-singing driving Marshall Escamilla''s sweet, whiny voice into another dimension. They''re a dance band, as Tim O''Connell''s electronica-inspired drumming and Harrison Speck''s funky bass lines keep the beat moving and keep audiences dancing.

Formed in Austin, Texas during the summer of 2003, The Unbearables were born when Escamilla gave up playing experimental "prog" rock and realized that it would be so much cooler to do bad music good than to try to do "good" music bad. Marshall returned to the 4/4 and began writing simple straight forward rock songs that sound like they belong in the mid sixties. Like he says, "just pure and simple--a good melody with honest feelings and intentionally un-profound lyrics. And fun. Lots of that."

Debuting onstage at Flamingo Cantina on July 22nd, they have since built a following playing on the outskirts of Austin''s sixth street scene at clubs like Trophy''s, Room 710, and The Red Eyed Fly
