Judy has performed from Elko to Missouri; Texas to Montana and is a veteran to the music stage. Growing up in Texas in a singing family gave her the roots to begin her love of this music. After making “Texas All State Choir” in high school she went on to McMurry University where she was a member of the College choir – the Chanters – and the ”Polyphons” a folk singing group. Graduation found her becoming a choir director with her choirs winning various awards and singing in Carnegie Hall in New York City. Nearing the end of her teaching career Judy was drawn again to sing the music she loved, Western Music.
“I’ve loved Western music all of my life, and can remember singing it with my parents, so it brings back fond memories. I try to write or choose songs for an album that are easy listening and are true to the Western Genre. The song “The Home Place” is actually a Bluegrass song, but it also pictures the plight of the American Rancher.
Singing should be fun and instill new memories as well as bring old memories back. That is what I try to do with each song and album.”
