Deborah Burks was born and raised in Muncie, IN. She’s the youngest of three siblings. She grew up singing around the house and writing songs. In 1987 she graduated from college with a degree in Computer Science. With this degree, she landed a job in Cincinnati, OH as a computer analyst. She’s currently a database administrator and the mother of three lovely daughters.
In March 2006, Deborah released her first praise and worship CD “You Satisfy My Soul”. Deborah co-produced the CD with her producer Maurice Crutcher. Together they have created a CD filled with a “different sound”. The combination of brilliant musical arrangements and words which speak to God’s heart, creates a unique sound and a worship experience which glorifies God and soothes the soul of the listener. The songs range from High praise to intimate worship. You can hear tunes such as “Highest Praise” “Good To Me”, “Glorify”. God birth each song through rough emotional times in Deborah’s life. God’s purpose was to demonstrate that even in the darkest hours His dominion, goodness, wonder, beauty, and glory can clearly be seen. Upon listening, the hearer will recognize a new sound from heaven.
