My friend Jacy and I used to socialize a lot over adult beverages and discuss men, sex, life, death... the usual. The song "Drive" came out of some of these discussions. But I didn''t understand who the character was that was doing the writing! She did though, and she began to explain her take on this character.
So the album "Drive" is really just a long version of the telephone game. Each song is a different character taking the action somewhere else, and seeing it from a different point of view. Somewhat like a screenplay.
It was a blast making up characters and watching them come to life. I wanted each song to stand on its own but they all add to the overall story.
