14 MP3 Songs
EASY LISTENING: Love Songs, EASY LISTENING: Musicals/Broadway

Details:
Norree began performing at the age of three, singing with her musician family. She studied voice at East Tennessee State University and Cincinnati Conservatory of Music before beginning a career as a recitalist an opera performer throughout the United States and England.

Her style is a mixture of sounds influenced by Sarah Vaughan and Ella Fitzgerald. Her classical style is that of Lily Pons.

Music is the way we express love, admiration, concern, devotion, disappointment, and many other emotions. Without music, our lives would be devoid of beauty. Norree''s parents, Don and Bette Boyd, gave her the gift of music at a very young age, and it is a gift that continues to give. It can be passed from one generation to another as it was passed from her grandparents to her parents, then to her. It is a gift in which all share during a performance together and to an audience.

This CD is a compilation of music important to Norree throughout the years. From "Over the Rainbow" which she has performed with her father since she was a child to Doretta''s Canzona from La Rondine by Puccini, she shares the music she has loved all these years with you, the listener.

And the musicians on this CD are a veritable "Who''s Who" of musicians. Her father, Don Boyd, accompanies her on five of the tracks. He is an arranger, trombonist, and pianist who was once a member of the Harry James, Les Brown, and Glen Gray orchestras. Robert Hebble is a composer, arranger, pianist, and organist who studied with Nadia Boulanger in France and was a protege of Virgil Fox. He accompanies Norree on several tracks here including music composed by Anthony Polistina, a dear friend to both Robert and Norree. On the classical tracks, Norree is accompanied by Robert Sharon, a concert pianist and choral conductor, and a graduate of the Julliard School and the Manhattan School of Music. He has appeared on major concert stages throughout the United States.
