Born to a TN mom and TX dad, a musician & farmer, they met in AR and married & reared a family. I was #6 out of 8 siblings. I weighed about 3 pounds at birth, they didn''t think I would live, but said I lived just for spite!
I could sing at age 3 or 4, and carry a tune! They said we were a singing family. By the time I was 10, I was listening to the Grand Old Opry on Saturday nights and I loved it.
Though I grew up, got married and reared 6 children, all the time I had this in the back of my mind. Singing in Nashville. Once I started writing songs and poetry I couldn''t give up. Then one day I was looking in Country Weekly magazine, saw an ad for an agent and the rest is history.
