Her voice is like no other. Her passion is for sharp lyrics and good music that glorify God. Her heart is for all who want to hear God’s voice. She’s anointed to minister to those who are cast down and appointed to encourage those who are heavy laden. Many see her and think, “Who is this tiny, joyful, fire ball of energy?” Yet when she ministers, hearts are touched and lives are changed.
Cassandra was born and raised in Cleveland, OH. Her professional singing career began in 2003, performing with local gospel rapper God’s Child across Northeastern OH. These performances included a live performance on WHK 1220 at the University Of Akron. Around the same time, Cassandra joined the praise team at her church New Spirit Revival Center. Under Dr. Darrell and Dr. Belinda Scott, the praise team ministered at various venues including the Cleveland Playhouse behind Lou Rawls, Power Networking Conferences with George Frazier held at the Convention Center and opening for NSRC concerts for Fred Hammond, Yolanda Adams, J Moss, CeCe Winans, and appearing on Chicago’s Gospel Show Singsation. As a solo gospel artist, Cassandra has ministered across the region as well including opening for nationally known gospel rapper “Truth”, singing backgrounds for Brian Litrell (former Backstreet Boys member ) at the Christian Music’s Alive 06, ministering at women’s and youth conferences, banquets and ministry outreach events.
Her current CD, “This Walk: Chapter One” explores the ups and downs, ins and outs, fun and not so fun aspects of the Christian walk. Timothy “Bo” Clinton and Urgency Productions produced her first four songs, including first single release “Love You for You”, about God’s unconditional love for us inspired by Psalm 139:14 which says: “ I will praise thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made”. She petitions God’s refining work in her groove “Keep Working on Me”, vocally describes our struggle to follow God in “Obediently”, and soulfully longs for the return of Christ in “Come Back for Me”. Audiences have only to expect greatness: anointed lyrics, skillful vocal arrangement, and smashing instrument accompaniment for this project. What her loyal listeners can count on is God’s voice coming through every track. Cassandra’s music no doubt has impacted the lives of many, and God has only just begun………….
