A little history:
Elder CJ Smith Sr. is a dedicated church leader and musician with many years of experience in the music ministry. He developed an interest and passion for the guitar at the age 12. God blessed with his anointing and his reputation as a gifted "Holy Ghost" guitar player grew among the churches in Detroit, Mi. Any instrument he came in contact with, he learned to play. Tuba, trumpet, drums, bass guitar and now piano and organ. By experience, his music has culminated into a unique blend of Gospel, Louisiana blues, Jazz and R&B. He is a balladeer and has a penchant for the operatic. Being a preacher, God''s message comes through in his songs. He has and is now operating as chief musician in churches in the Bay Area (Caifornia). Because of his years of dedication to the church, God has blessed again and now the songwriter/composer, concert promoter is owner of Azusa Digital Recording, where this CD was created. He is a husband and father of 5 gifted children who are musicians, songwriters and talent promoters as well. They all comprise the "CJS Gospel Group."
