However, this duo recalls by its sonata-like structure, the well established baroque style, exemplified by the three following works. The sonatas of G.B Sammartini and https://www.tradebit.comaldi of Italian style and the sonata of https://www.tradebit.comemann of Germanic style, the three works are written for equal voices and continuo, but are rich in oppositions and contrasts. The CD ends with the concerted-sonata for flute, violin and continuo of https://www.tradebit.comaldi, arranged here for two violins (major voices) and violin-viola. The continuo transposed to the viola holds a key position, one hears a real concerted-sonata, in which each part builds-up the dialogue in harmony.
