Leo LaBranche ''from then to now".

Hi. This recording has an unusual history in that it was recorded in 1978 and after being lost or unusable and* after almost 30 years it resurfaced on an internet chat site. For that I am greatful.

These are mostly my songs from the time with one song by the master Chuck Berry (Let It Rock). Great playing by all involved which included Billy Powell (piano), Artimus Pyle (drums), Steve Tischer (bass), and Barrylee Harwood (guitars). I sang and played piano too, to a lessor degree.

This music happened in El Paso Texas and took about a week.
Billy Powell, arguably one of the best rock piano players who ever lived, is featured throughout. Barrlee Harwood has stellar performances. The highlights I believe are: Let It Rock; Victors/Victims; Would You Go If They Asked You?.

The web site has the dramatic story of the first meeting between myslef and some of the Skynyrd members hours after the plane crash in Mississippi.

You don''t need to like "retro" to like this. Good Listening
