Acoustic Folk Rock with https://www.tradebit.comnk early Dylan

9 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Folk Rock, FOLK: Folk Pop

Details:
“On The Corner of Happy and Stone” was recorded in 1998 with the musical and financial assistance of Jack Shaw. Jack plays harmonica, mandolin and the mouth harp all over the CD and without his help this recording would not have happened. All songs are written by Andy Mason except “Meet Me in The Dark” which was written by Joshua Belter and is the song that gets a makeover on Fast Time Constant’s 2004 release “For Lease” (available on CD Baby). Happy and Stone reflects Andy’s mood during the writing of the songs. Happy, and yet stifled, from really achieving what he wants in life. I felt at the time, and in many ways still do, that there is so much more to be accomplished in this life. The cover photography is interesting in that when I was taking the picture of the street sign (an actual street corner in Clovis, NM) I was standing on my Volvo and caught my own shadow in the photo. Artwork and cover design again skillfully presented by Paul Dunning at https://www.tradebit.com

1. Annie O’Neil’s String – I was busting my ass at the Pike Place Market and I had a good crowd, when bam! I broke a string. Luckily for me Annie O’Neil had a spare. I never got to thank her, so I wrote this song.

2. It’s Inside You – For my first girlfriend who many years later was about to become a mother and was worried about it all.

3. Edinburgh Blues – written and held in my brain for 9 years before it made it to the recording. Written in Edinburgh, Scotland!

4. Look In Her Eyes – For my baby, Kew, during the time of divorce and lawyer madness.

5. When Your Time Is Up – The original recording of this song complete with Jack on mouth harp and harmonica……

6. Envirosong – I’ll let Jack’s mandolin do the talkin’ here.

7. Till I Find Another Girl – Pop music for the thinking man, and a middle finger to the previous girlfriend all hidden.....unless you listen.

8. Ca Fait Rien – French for “It don’t matter”. This song was written when I thought I might not get to see my daughter very much.

9. Meet Me In The Dark – Jack’s harmonica at its finest moment, and Joshua Belter’s finest song. Me, I just happened to be there with my guitar and vocals. I have sold many copies of this CD based on the live performance of this song alone. People love it.
