In recent years, composer/songwriter Bryan Schroeder has compiled an astounding catalog of contemporary music that speaks diversity and passion. A growing number of recordings and performances of his music have led to commissions from musicians across the country, and the release of his debut album "Wait for the Rain" has shed an entirely new light on his gift for writing.

Bryan has been writing and performing for nearly two decades, having been commissioned to write over 40 new works in the last six years stretching across nearly all genres of music. His works range from theatrical productions, chamber music and film scores, acoustic, bluegrass, world and alternative-rock songs. Bryan''s music has been performed by numerous soloists and ensembles across the country, including two World Premieres by the KSU Trumpet Ensemble in 2001 and 2004, and a Native American Music Award Nomination in 2005 for his work on Brian Hammill''s "New Beginnings." Bryan holds a bachelor''s degree in Music Composition from Kansas State University.

Accompanied by guitarist Paul Schimming (Minneapolis, MN) and percussionist Wayne VanZee (Brooklyn, NY), "Wait for the Rain" unknowingly began to take shape in the small town of Manhattan, KS, while the three attended music school. Four songs on the album; "Recluse," Three Lines Away," "Around Again," and "For Awhile" were written and recorded in 2001. Schroeder completed the album during the Summer months of 2003 while living in Phoenix, AZ.
