Many years a sideman, now leading his own band, Paris King creates. From concept, he breathes meaning into every lyric and heart into every note he reaches. "I''ve never even held a gun; Sharpshooter is about self-realization and the burden of inevitable destiny."

As a young teenager, Jeff Drudge began playing classical bass in orchestras and big band, in his native home of Toledo, Ohio. His early professional career ranged the folksy to the hard rock and roll. Currently he sees a lot of live shows, and his musical interests are best described as "everything from rockabilly to afrobeat".

Hailing from Berkeley, California, Jamie Arredondo''s drumming has evolved from beating out punk rhythms to becoming one of the most sought after reggae artists in the Bay Area. Feeling his truest self-expression comes from personal freedom, he makes new style with every song and performance. "Big ups".

The Paris King Band has been playing together as a trio since 2004. The completion of their debut recording "Music To Groove To", along with the opportunity to collaborate with artists from analog producer/engineer Scott Solter, to playwright/spoken word artist Marc Bamuthi Joseph, has solidified the band''s sound and awakened their presence.

''Paris King made magic out of poetry, soul-stirring song craft, and funky beats.''

''...exactly the kind of music program directors and major labels don''t want you to know exists.''
-Eric K. Arnold, Bay Guardian

''Warm, pensive, genuine, playful with many subtleties...appealing to all senses.''

''The sound of life today and tomorrow.''
-Rico Garfunkel, Defunkt Magazine

''At times so minimal, you hardly know it''s there, but then suddenly it creeps up with electronics that converge in a scream.'' -Amanda Nowinski, Bay Guardian

''And music for guitar, bass and percussion composed and played by Paris King enhanced the drama.'' -Jack Anderson, N.Y. Times

''sampling beats and clutching an acoustic guitar that he held like a Brazilian folk singer, with the neck up high and his fingers crooked delicately over the strings. At first, it was a bit shocking; who melds loose, folksy songwriting with dance beats? Was it awful, or was he a genius? Yet the music had such a strong afterglow that by the end of each song you anxiously awaited the next. King is an acquired taste that will grow on you.'' -Katy St.Claire, East Bay Express
