11 MP3 Songs
METAL: Heavy Metal, METAL: Industrial Metal

Details:
PKS started in 2000 with Evan Nave (lead vocals) and Jacob Scum (guitar and vocals). War (bass and backing vocals) and Dawn (guitar) joined soon after. A year later, Abe (drums) and Dave (guitar and backing vocals) would fill out the roster in time for the release of their first demo, “Scum of the Planet”. Further honing their sound, the band released their first full release in 2003, “You Don’t Matter”, which was met with great response in their home town of Cleveland, Ohio.

PKS has played all over the region, including Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Sandusky, Detroit and soon to be Chicago, Baltimore, Erie, and West Virginia. They have opened for Drowning Pool, Mushroomhead, Soulfly, Bile, Hanzel Und Gretyl and Dope and are currently exploring touring opportunities. They have been featured on one of the Turkey Vulture Records’ compilations, and their sound has reached as far as Europe, South America and Japan.

Their music can best be described as detuned groove tech metal with industrial undertones. The vocals range from guttural growls to piercing screams, with harmonies mixed throughout. Their latest full length CD, “The Darkening Season” is an exploration through a wide variety of metal styles and thought-provoking topics. The release features the tracks “For No One”, “Almost Human”, “National Insecurity” and “Blackest Blood”.
