Chattanooga Tennessee''s acoustic powerhouse Bigger Than Dallas provides more in their debut e.p. than most bands are able to do in a lifetime. Who knew that Southeast Tennessee was home to some of the best acoustic alt-country rock ever invented.

Details:
Bigger than Dallas takes you deeper than you wanted to go, for longer than you wanted to be there...but it''s good the whole time...

"Hard Floors and Thoughts of Sin and Grace", the debut e.p. by Chattanooga Tennessee''s own Bigger Than Dallas, took the Americana community by storm. The e.p. graced the pages of several national publications, and found it''s way to college radio playlists across the U.S. The band has since released a new full-length album on eleven:eleven records, entitled "When the Blood and the Dust settles." There are no current plans to reprint the e.p., and it is only available through cdbaby. Buy it now while you still can.

While I love the band name and the quite gothic-sounding title of this four-song EP release from the band, I like the music even more. All acoustic and folky, the music rolls like the tundra and carries the resonance of a thunderstorm. I''m talking great dynamics here, something most bands forget about. Each song is life-and-death and there are no winners. No winners except the listener, who gets to check out a relatively new band, one who I hope comes out with a full-length CD very soon. A very good EP, let''s hope the next release continues this fine start.

Every so often, a band comes along that blows us away. In their first offering, "Hard Floors and thoughts of Sin and Grace..." Chattanooga Tn''s Bigger Than Dallas takes us through every emotion that we''ve ever https://www.tradebit.comry road we''ve ever been down. Quite a feat considering the short track listing (just 4 songs). Beautifuly Low-Fi in it''s production, we get a sense of what it must be like to make music just because you love making it.
