What do the bands Stone Temple Pilots, AC/DC and Oasis all have in common? They are all brother/brother rock and roll powerhouses. Well, Afterglow is no exception. After years playing in separate bands, touring, recording and playing at many well know venues across western North America, Podritske brothers Adam (24, guitar/voices) and Aron (22, drums) finally decided to combine their experience and creativity in the spring of 2005. Based out of Vancouver B.C., Afterglow spent their early stages crafting a solid repertoire of driving, hook-filled rock tracks and hooked up with producer/engineer/bassist Rick Salt. The songwriting talent of Adam, combined with the creative input of Aron and Rick Salt acting as producers generated a rippin'' three song demo, which is featured on the bands myspace page. Afterglow is committed to writing hit songs and constantly honing their live performance. The band has played many packed venues in its young life and will continue to do so. Playing clubs in Vancouver such as The Buffalo Club, The Roxy and The Media Club, Afterglows goal is to get their sound out to as many people as possible. Some of the band''s achievements thus far include opening for The Armchair Cynics; being featured on CFOX''s Indie Night in Canada; and charting in the top five on https://www.tradebit.com. In the future the band hopes to work with many other musicians in order to collectively achieve as many goals as possible. A full-length album is definitely in the works and the band is also working on plans for a tour. Afterglow is a serious band, with serious aspirations of success both as people, and as musicians.
