3 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Noise, METAL: Doom/Stoner Metal

Details:
Buddha''s Revenge, was spiraling into the ground as they were making this and you can hear it. All the same, Three Songs for Mortals is as organized a Buddha''s Revenge recording as there will ever be. All three of the members, Bruce Lehto, Eric Lehto and Pat Vadnais, are home recordists who can make a record with most anything laying around. This recording with Pat Vadnais is different from their normal output of noise. It was done in response to an invitation to submit a demo from a major label. So instead of crazy noise jams (the new urban folk music) everything resembles a song and is organized. Bruce''s original art work adorns the home made (and signed) sleeve of THREE SONGS FOR MORTALS. He makes each CD himself, attaching the artwork to the sleeve and signing the back of each one.

TROLL the "first single" from this diminuitive disc, though it sounds like a lot of grunting, groaning, bucking and snorting is actually a thoughtful endeavor. The concept is based on the idea that fairy tale creatures were created as warnings to children to scare them away from dangerous people and places. Trolls, with their hanging out under bridges and eating children, were meant to represent a warning against the homeless transients that roamed Europe in the dark ages. They turned to stone when the sun hit them, meaning that they slept in the day as most homeless people do because it''s safer. And they found shelter under bridges. But the grunting, groaning, bucking and snorting is pretty cool too.

Go to their web page and check out the download on the music page. It''s a video clip of some live noise jamming.
