This music was obviously written through pain as well as elation. There are many different compartments in this journey, but do not get confused; this album is in no way a labyrinth. In fact, the album is actually more of an emotional get together between Le Rhaun and the listener. I promise you by the end of this album, you will feel like you know him. Be it through the introduction (which obviously was written to make sure you knew who you were listening to) or through the late night summer soft chill out sessions of “Come Around” and “Special”. The most beautiful thing about this album is that L.B. keeps you on your toes. One minute, he is pouring you a glass of truth with “Game of Shame” and the next minute he is seducing you with “Rescue Me”. All in all “Love & Testament” does what it seeks to do; tell the story. ‘Nuff said.
