My name is Mark Karris and I from Long Island, New York. I just came out with a new CD entitled Diversity (2005). I produced it myself and it has been receiving a lot of buzz in my area (New York). I wrote all of the songs on it and I am the only member at this point. When I play out, I have different musicians accompany me so that it adds spice and spontaneity to the set.
I have been playing for seventeen years and by now the guitar is a part of me. I have over come great obstacles in my life, such as my mom being a drug addict and my father being abusive but all of my experiences have shaped who I am as a musician.
I have recently got back from Seattle promoting my new CD as well.
I am currently looking for a record label. The internationally known Musician Phil Keaggy is currently reviewing my material and I am excited about what he will say. I am not looking for a major label but if that happens then so be it.
