Biography:
On October 1966 A.B. and Marie Coulter gave birth to a new baby boy, in the small town of Crossett, Ar. But it wasn''t long until they realized that it wasn''t going to be the happy occasion as it was with the other six children that they have had in the passed. It wasn''t long until the doctors shared with them that that their new born son, Jamie, had a rare disease called Osteogenusis Imperfecta, which in short term is brittle bone disease. The Coulters where devastated at the news. But, being the prayer warrior that she always ways, Marie," prayed Lord if you can give him the power of life you can give him the power of healing." Marie said, that her little son looked as if he was a little bird that had fallen out of a nest and was broken to pieces. But, what the Coulters didn''t know at that time was God had his hand all over this little broken vessel.
God did see the little fella through, but the road ahead was still rocky. Jamie and his family would experience many years of operations, broken bones and many visits and stays at the hospital. But even through the hard times they were going through, little Jamie began his journey that the Lord had in store for his life. At the young age of six years old Jamie began doing something that would follow him all through life, he started singing. First of all it began just at his home church, then one Sunday Jamie got up to do a special and there was a local gospel music promoter in the congregation who invited Jamie to sing at a local concert. That one concert opened the door of a life time. it was there that Jamie was invited to sing on the United Cerebral Palsy telethon in Monroe, LA., Which at that time had many Hollywood stars on the roster. Young Coulter went and sang one song," The Crippled Boys Prayer" he had waited all day to sing and after his song, he was wore out. Marie was going to take Jamie home, so they left. After the Coulters left the telethon The phones began to ring off the hooks. Everyone wanted him to sing again. They had police and C.B. radio people trying to track them down to get him to return and sing again. But, Jamie was back home before he found out the news. The very next day the family received a call from one of the Hollywood producers that Jamie was invited back the next year to do the whole "Weekend With The Stars Telethon." It was that very thing that kicked Jamie''s career off.
Because of the brittle bones Jamie was never able to walk, but at a young age found that a skate board could make his little 3 ft. tall statue very independant. Jamie just hops right on that skate board and away he goes. He is a very out going person. He will pull a prank on you in a minute. Matter fact if anytime you are in Wal-mart make sure someone on a skate board does not jump out and scare you.
Although, Jamie has had over 300 broken bones and over thirty major operations, he doesn''t let anything get him down. Just as his precious mother was, who passed away on Feb. 14, 1997, Jamie''s strong faith in God has carried the young man so far in life, and has effected the lives of so many poeple down through the years.
Coulter has been with many of the Hollywood actors and actresses, country music and gospel music artist. He has performed all over the United States. In the year of 1992 Coulters life long dream came about, he performed on the worlds famous Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN. Country Music legend David Frizzell has written a kids project about the life of Jamie Coulter titled Jamie Boo. Which is a cartoon series which shares the humorous personality of the very inspirational little man on the skate board. Jamie Boo is still in the process of being put together. But Jamie Coulter Ministries is up and running more than its ever been. In the Year of 1989 Jamie took another turn in the journey God had in store for his life, and he started preaching. He has preached many revivals across America and has seen many won to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Not only is Jamie a singer and preacher. But God has also blessed him to play the guitar and write songs. It is so amazing to just set in the congregation as Coulter gets up to do his thing. His wife Kate picks him up and sets him on a table on the skate board. Gives him his guitar, that is bigger than him. And you forget he is 3 ft. tall when he began''s to sing the songs that the Lord has given him. Then he is bigger than life as he preaches the word of God. I encourage anyone if you ever get the chance to go and experience this amazing miracle of a man, do not pass it by.
Jamie and his wife still travel up and down the highways today sharing the Gospel to a lost and dying world. Kate has began to sing with Jamie and she is doing a great job. Some folks may say that when Marie Coulter prayed the prayer Lord if you can give him the gift of life you can give him the gift of healing. That her prayers didn''t get heard but I truly say that they did. I believe that it''s just all got to do with the journey that the Lord had in store for this extraordinary young man.
