During the one-and-a half year the band has been operating on the Scandinavian Scene, it`s live reputation has been steadily growing, leading to a performance this summer on the biggest stage at Øya, the most important music-festival in Norway.
The double A-side single The Conqueror/Fly Away (feat. James Iha of Smashing Pumpkins) and the Dharma EP got great reviews and heavy rotation in Norwegian media and have contributed in making DHARMA`s debutalbum, Dreamland, baby, one of the most forseen in Norway this year. Swedish hotshot producer Kalle Gustafsson Jerneholm (The Soundtrack of Our Lives, Fireside, 22 Pistepirko, Silverbullit etc) has capture the energy and enthusiasm of the bands highly praised live-performences, without losing the focus of the great songs and dual lead-vocals of Ole Øvstedal and Anne Lise Frøkedal. Øvstedal is a former guitarist in Turbonegro-Knut Schreiner`s band Euroboys. Frøkedal is regarded as one of the best singers in Norway. (She recently turned down an offer to play in A-ha Magne Furuholmen`s backing band).
With the beautiful animated video, made for the titletrack by Swedish genius Reala and the singel Saturdays (feat. Ebbot Lundberg of TSOOL), one of the most popular on the national radio, the future looks bright for DHARMA.
