In the fall of 1999, Phoenix set out from Livingston, Montana with his two horses and his dog into the Rocky Mountain wilderness in search of meaning. During his year-long journey south, he found a spiritual connection with the land and the people who live in harmony with it. He returned with a new-found purpose, and an allegiance and responsibility towards the people and places that healed him and gave him hope. In his latest musical incarnation, singer/songwriter Phoenix continues his artistic journey from the urban wilderness of New York City to California''s San Francisco Bay Area.
