Pierce Turner Biography

Pierce Turner is a highly acclaimed Irish songwriter and performer; he was born in Wexford, Ireland and spends most of his time working in both Ireland and New York City. He has released several solo recordings, the first being produced by Philip Glass; the renowned Irish musician, Christy Moore, covered two songs from that album. The British press heralded Turner as the heir apparent of Irish Soul. He has also co-starred in movie, with the comedian; Sean Hughes called "Snakes and Ladders". The movie heavily features Turner''s songs and film score.

Turner''s live performances are legendary and in 1995 he was voted Ireland''s Solo Performer of the year.

In 2001 his latest c.d. "3 Minute World" was voted in the years Top 10 in his native Ireland.
