MP3 Temporary Shelter - Makers of Majick

A jam band with poppy melodic choruses or a pop rock band that does improvised jams. They display the jam-ability of The Dead, the soulfulness of U2 and the subtlety of Paul Simon.

8 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Jam-band, ROCK: Modern Rock

Details:
Safar: Drums/Percussion
This drum shaman underlies the melodies with a rhythm like the heart beat of the earth. True to his name, this hypnotic drumming will take you on a “far journey”. His musical journey itself has taken him through six states. Playing in New Orleans, Virginia, Utah, Seattle, and the Denver area, he’s kept plenty of folks dancing with such bands as The Stigmas, Cold Shot, Dead Serious, Blues Frog Band, and Chacadelic Delight.

Mark: Lead Vocals/Rhythm Guitar
Mark studied music in New York, South India and Boulder. He has performed solo and with Dragonflower and The Electricoustic Massage. These influences, as well as his love for classic rock, house music, and blues help shape the music and distinguish songs from being ‘just another jam’ or ‘just another pop song’. His love of poetry, nature, meditation, and good song seeps into the socially critical lyrics to provide a temporary shelter of hope. Mark has played in at least one other band with each of the other members

Eric: Bass/Backing Vocals
Eric has a full working knowledge of ‘playin’ in the band’. The man possesses skills not only as a bass player, but has proved himself as soulful vocalist, intelligent guitarist, and groovy drummer. Eric played drums on the east coast with Transcendental Hayride and performed as a solo artist on the west coast. He currently sings lead and plays guitar for his own project. With all that under his belt, Eric brings a very grounded, very groovy slant to the bass and tasteful vocal harmonies that root this temporary shelter in its firm foundation.

Tom: Lead and Rhythm Guitar
Tom honed his skills in New Hampshire and initiated his musical career there. .
He then moved to North Carolina and played lead guitar and sang with Kosmo Jive. Tom also played lead on the 2003 album Dragonflower. His rolling solos treat fans to his own unique, inventive style blended with Jerry Garcia, Santana-esque tones.
