Sometimes it''s really hard to be an editor of a music magazine, cause there''s music you just can''t tell what''s going on...especially in the case of tsU~Ima. Sometimes the stuff sounds pretty much like Pop, but also like Rock... The central issue is, that the music of tsU~Ima is relaxing and damn original. The music goes a little bit in the vein of All Night and Rouge Wave (both are on SubPop)...Pop mixed with Rock and electronic elements...sounds strange sometimes, but after a few spins you will understand tsU~Ima and what their music is all about. There''s a lot to explore...join the trip.

This album contains 9 tracks which are rooted in different styles - starting with oldschool 4/4-guitar rock (tracks 1 and 2) going over odd measure noise inspired rock (track 5), and ending up somewhere in the realms of dark bombastic sounds (track 9). The lyrics are in english, russian, german, finnish, latin and cover an area between seemingly playing with nonsense (track 3) and towering associative-dadaesque word buildings about escapism & destiny (tracks 5 and 9). Love is not the topic of the year & really worth a word... (see lyrics at https://www.tradebit.com)
Another interesting thing is that there are five different leadvocals - four female voices and tsU~Ima''s spoken word like interpretation of his own lyrics and all of them are right to give these songs their individual shape - better than one single singer ever could do...
Sic transit gloria is a concept album, not one like these back in the 70''s, but more a sort of sound-blog of tsU~Ima, who plays bass and guitar in a couple of projects and bands in his hometown Berlin, Germany.
