Judith Wynhausen has been delighting audiences since 1992 with her original stories based on traditional Mother Goose rhymes. Her simple manner of telling stories and her lyric singing voice create an engaging storytelling style that draws listeners into her world. She has now added a Spanish version of her stories. Her translations of the familiar Mother Goose rhymes are true to the original meaning, and are also similar to the rhythmic and rhyming structure of the English rhymes. Listening to these stories and learning the rhymes that are imbedded in them is a wonderful adjunct to learning either Spanish or English. The stories are presented in both languages in a way that makes the meaning clear and the listener can choose which language to listen to first. One disk has Spanish first, then English, and the other disk is the reverse. A booklet with the text of all the rhymes is included.
Desde 1992 Judith Wynhausen ha venido encantando al público con sus creaciones geniales a base de las tradicionales rimas conocidas bajo el nombre de la Mamá Gansa. Su manera sencilla y su voz lírica aportan un entretenido estilo narrativo que hace llegar a su mundo a los que la escuchan. Y ahora se destaca también una versión bilingüe de los mismos cuentos. Las traducciones de varias de las conocidas Rimas de la Mamá Gansa reviven el ánimo de las rimas inglesas. Además de mantener los matices de la semántica, la versión en castellano tiene un ritmo semejante y una semejante estructura de aliteración, semejantes a los de las rimas en inglés. Escuchar estos cuentos de Judith y apoderarse de las aliteraciones fonéticas de los mismos es un auxiliar genial para el aprendizaje del inglés tanto como del español. Estos cuentos se presentan en ambos idiomas de modo que el significado se revela con nitidez; además se puede elegir cuál idioma va a venir primero. Un disco empieza con un relato en inglés que se traspone (de modo incremental) al español, mientras que el otro disco se arregla al revés. Se agrega un librito que incluye los textos de todas las rimas.
