Xiomara (Zee-o-mara) was born and raised in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico. At the age of 6, she was already showing a surprisingly deep love for music and performing arts. . At 16, she enrolled at Adiz TV academy in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where she participated in some local plays and landed a recurring part on Telemundo’’ late night comedy show “No te duermas”. After graduating from high school, she attended the Interamerican University in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, where she started working toward an associate degree in Communications and landed a job as a disc jockey at local radio station Fidelity 95.7 FM. Her radio experience --sparked by her sense of adventure and discovery--also gave her a better sense of direction as an entertainer.

In 1995, Xiomara decided to move to New York, where she began production on her debut CD, I Can Feel It, an album that features diverse musical styles. She promoted her music by becoming an opening act for artists such as George Lamond, TKA and Cynthia at festivals and local events. Audiences responded to her, and she began to establish herself as a talent to watch.

Xiomara took a leap into the small screen where she was featured in MTV programs ““Global Grooves” and “Jams”. The Pro Domino Association then tapped Xiomara to be their on camera talent for their PDA tournaments on ESPN Deportes.
As a songwriter Xiomara was reached out to by Aphrodite and all female group, where she penned material for their first CD. She wrote their first single, “Sex in New York City,” which was licensed and used in the smash-hit TV show “Sex and the City” during its run on TBS .

And now she brings to you, her new release “Temperatures of my Life”. Her English and Spanish lyrics stemmed from her real life experiences. The project developed with producer Will Taylor (SubFunk Prods) and was recorded entirely in the Bronx NY. Other collaborators in the project include Luis Tineo a.k.a. Sabor (Criminal) and Scott Marz(Encounter of Passion). “Temperatures of my Life” features Def Jam Poet/Singer La Bruja (The Truth), Zalomon (Number 1 and String of Life) formerly of MOSA Project and the talented Amy Douglas on back ground vocals. This assemble of fresh new sounds can be classified under funk-rock-pop. It resonates a very urban New York feel. So raise your levels, sit back, and enjoy “Temperatures of my Life” If you suddenly feel the need to dance then she has fulfilled her goal.
