“I have been working a lot lately on constructing some new songs from entries in my journal that span the past year of my life. Heavy influence has been drawn from my trip to Australia this past summer, my best friend Matthew wedding his one true love in a surreal event during that trip, battles for faith, grace, and forgiveness that were and are won on a daily basis thanks to my Lord and Savior the Holy Lamb of God, Masheekah Eashoa (Jesus Christ), and His Holy Spirit, and finally the inspiration drawn from musicians/prophets/friends of our current time. I have been preparing these songs to be served to the Lord as offerings of worship, praise and thanks and as encouragement to the world. If that only happens to be one person then so be it. I''ve heard many artists including myself talk about the struggle to produce something that will be accepted and welcomed into the mainstream versus producing something new, unique and straight out of the artist’s heart and soul. Nothing in the mainstream typically inspires me anyway so I hope these raw homemade tunes touch your heart and spirit. Some musical Influences may be heard in a passing chord or hum, but so it is with any music. There are a couple samples that I''ve borrowed from friends, but only out of the inspiration and necessity that they''ve had in my life. As I worked and reworked these, I crafted them to be alive and played to living audience before ever laying down the first recording. Right as I completed the recordings I heard the NC Symphony perform Tchaikovsky’s first symphony piece entitled Winter Dreams. It was so beautiful, so moving, and so alive. It took me through the same emotions that I felt when writing these songs. Hopefully you will feel the living spirit infused into these songs and be a live audience to these digital recordings or “snapshots of sound”. I welcome anyone who listens and enjoys to be inspired to “move” and to “go” and be peacemakers and know that you are loved and I pray that the fire lit or waiting to be lit inside of you never grows dim and ever lights your paths!” -Jason
