Russ Joffrion grew up listening to Southern Rock and Texas Blues along the bayous of Southern Louisiana. While attending LSU in the early 90’s, he was influenced by SRV, and Louisiana legends Marcia Ball, Tabby Thomas, Kenny Neal, and Larry Garner. While tracks “Just You and Me” and “More Than Your Love” are flavored with the Eagles, his smooth electric guitar blues style in “New Attitude” has hints of Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown with a dash of SRV.
