BIOGRAPHY
KS is the creation of Jose Zambrano Cassella, a Venezuelan/Italian musician and filmmaker.
“Funky Elevator Music” is his latest CD release, offering a unique blend of funk, electronica, jazz and rock, all in one album.
KS started his love affair with music from early on, self taught on drums, guitar and keyboard, playing with several bands in high school in his native country, Venezuela.
Even though his music is mainly electronic, his influences have always been a mix of British and psychedelic rock and 70’s Afro-Caribbean rhythmus, like artists from the legendary New York salsa label, Fania.
As his passion for music grew, so did his interest in cinema and working behind the camera, leading to a successful career as a Director and Director of Photography in countless music videos, features and commercials.
KS’s music combines this two art forms, music and images. The songs are highly visual, perfect for soundtracks, for particularly any scene on film for any mood or situation.
In order to have the freedom to make a unique blend of styles on one CD, KS decided to self release his music. In this way, a particular song can have the listener travel through several sonic landscapes within one song.
KS lives and records in Orlando, Florida with his wife and son.
