JOHN POPPER JAMS ON NEW STOLEN OGRE RELEASE
Band to release preview to radio and iTunes

Seattle, WA May 2007 - Blues Traveler’s Brendan Hill was a founding member of Seattle’s Stolen Ogre, a group he formed with keyboard player Michael McMorrow after they met on the 1996 HORDE tour. Hill’s Traveler duties eventually led him to stop his regular appearances with the group, although he recorded with the band on Stolen Ogres First full length release "Road to Jericho"(Shadowawk Records 2004) . Now Hill’s BT bandmate John Popper guests on Stolen Ogre''s latest release.

McMorrow with the help of bassist and band mate Marc Willet are producing the new material, which includes a Stolen Ogre performance staple "So We Danced" and the brand new rootsy "Tequila Mockingbird" that features Harmonica Virtuoso and Blues Traveler Front Man John Popper; his first recording of 2007.

"It really is a classic Popper performance and we couldn''t be happier" remarks McMorrow " It was like I had this idea of what I would like to hear on the track; John comes strolling in a day before driving to Austin to record with Blues Traveler and just nailed it. It was what I had been hearing in my head except about 1000 times better!"

It isn''t the first time SO has explored its rootsy side, Road to Jericho includes the acoustic "Wheat" and roots rocker "Lay Me Down" which went on to receive national airplay.

Stolen Ogre is releasing a preview of the new material in the form of the Tequila Mockingbird EP nationally to Triple A Radio which includes the Popper infused single "Tequila Mockingbird", "House of Candy" and "So We Danced" while working on finishing the full length album. The EP will also be available to fans through iTunes https://www.tradebit.com , Rhapsody, Yahoo, Napster and other digital download locations.

Stolen Ogre is Scott Adams-Sax and Vocals, Rick Boice-drums, Michael McMorrow-Piano, Hammond Organ, Guitar and Mandolin, Pamela Tobiason-Vocals, David Simpson-Guitar and Marc Willet Bass and Vocals.
