5 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Americana, POP: Power Pop

Details:
The Successful Failures is the new band from FDR-label owner and Dipsomaniacs'' singer/songwriter Mick Chorba. Originally an alt-country side project, the group has evolved into a full rock n roll outfit with a sound reminiscent of Guided By Voices, Superdrag, and The Shins with the jangly melodic sensibilities of artists like Marshal Crenshaw and the Moberlys. The Successful Failures released their very successful full-length, self titled, debut CD in the summer of 2006. The band recently finished the recording of their second CD, "Ripe for the Burning", which is due to be released in October of 2007. "Bridges Over the Delaware" - is the advanced single for the new album. The EP features 5 songs - the title track ("Bridges Over the Delaware") and 4 exclusive tracks including a cover of the Kris Kristofferson classic, "Sunday Morning Coming Down", two live cuts and a super-jangly new original called "The Girl Who Never Smiled".
