Details:
Almost exactly one year after the acclaimed album Tsunami was released, Cell Division is back with a new single called Dirge for the Doomed. The recording was again made at the Thommy Hein Tonstudios in Berlin with producer Thommy Hein. A special goodie on the single is the videoclip which was directed by Jacques à Bâle from Los Angeles. The story is about a soldier going to war (World War I), naive and full of hope, believing that he can serve his country. In the course of war he gets killed. His soul cannot find peace and he is trapped in a ghostlike state for years. He roams through a city (Berlin, in our time) and in his paranoia he feels chased by the members of Cell Division. He rushes through the streets until he has a vision of his own childhood. Relieved by the memory of his innocent past he is finally able to let go and leave this world. The idea of the story is based on the fact, that around the world, young people were -and unfortunately still are- lured into war by treacherous war propaganda. Abused by a government and turned into killing machines, the lives of whole generations are stolen.
