I was contacted in July ''02 by a Karma for Kids representative. She was rounding up Bay Area yoga centers to participate in a new program called "Karma for Kids". The program was built to raise funds for children to attend Camp Okizu, a camp for children with cancer. Being a parent and a yoga enthusiast, I gladly accepted to participate on behalf of my then yoga studio "The Yoga Company". Being a musician, I''ve always been keen on doing good things with music, and here I had an opportunity to do so... So I recorded this set of songs that could be used to accompany a yoga practice or to simply enjoy while relaxing. The key challenge was getting this completed in time for the August kick off for Karma for Kids. I spent a few late nights laying tracks in Studio C, and with the help of my bro-in-law on graphics, was able to get this pressed in record time. Enjoy the subtle rawness of the tunes, the melodic walls of sound, and the sometimes sparse arrangements.
