The Belgian music scene gets a lot of international attention. When one takes into account the number of gifted bands and talented singer-songwriters this does not raise much surprise.
One of the rising names in this firm tradition is the fresh and innovative formation Palomine. Although they had to wait some years to produce their first full length album, this group has built out a solid reputation.
In april 2002 Palomine’s Brand new start is introduced to the large audience by various Belgian radio stations. The track is received extremely well and turns out into a modest hit.
Meanwhile Palomine builds out a ravishing live performance reputation. The band plays supporting acts for various renowned Belgian artists.
After some essential changes, Palomine’s cast reaches a final formation: frontman David Janssen (voice, acoustic guitar), Simon Lenaerts (fender rhodes, keyboards), Levi Lenaerts (bass guitar), Ralf Demandt (lead guitar) and Nico Camps (drums).
In the fall of 2004 their first single Top of the World is released. This track is caught on by some national stations and gets a lot of airplay.
In 2005 Palomine records the Beatles’ hit Across the universe. Axl Peleman takes care of the production and the backing vocals. This song marks the kickoff for a full length album, which will be released in early 2007.

* Someone, featuring Axl Peleman (Camden, Ashbury Faith) is released on the Rockvonk 2002 compilation cd.
* Brand new start wins the demo poll on Studio Brussels (Belgiums biggest alternative national radio station). Brand new start marks an own place in the Demopoll Hall of Fame.
2003
* Brand new start ends on a twelfth place in the ranking of ‘Best Song’ in the Zamu Award competition.
2004
* Top of the world is picked up by Radio 1 and Radio 2.
2005
* Release of Across the universe (the Beatles). This cover song is given a great deal of airplay on Belgian radio stations.
* Support act for Magnapop and Dog Eat Dog.
2006
* Recording their first full album. Promotional concerts include some of the biggest summer festivals in Belgium.
2007
* Album release “Get the luxurious big bath size”: three singles are played on three different radio stations nationally and internationally (BBC Radio 1). Great reviews from well known music magazines!
* UK - tour “Rocklates” February 2007, Sheffield, Manchester, Nottingham
